Ascaso Espresso Machine Information

Depending on the type of Ascaso espresso machine you purchase, it can become an eclectic fixture in your kitchen.  Espresso makers produced by Ascaso range from utilitarian to completely stylish.  Ascaso has been around since 1962, when it was started in Barcelona, Spain.  The company started out by producing espresso maker components, but today, Ascaso has proven to be a standout in terms of producing their own espresso equipment as well.

Perhaps the most fashionable of Ascaso’s machines is the Ascaso Dream espresso machine.  A retro-styled machine with a giant temperature gauge on the front, the Ascaso Dream appeals to both the practical and fun sides of espresso connoisseurs.  Like all of Ascaso’s espresso makers, the Dream is produced in three different ways:  a pod-only model, a coffee grounds-only model, and the Dream Versatile, which can accept both espresso pods and grounds thanks to separate chambers for each.  Also, the Dream’s water chamber is removable, so filling your machine with water will be a snap.  The Dream is offered in an astonishing array of colors, including pink, yellow, red, blue, green – even polka dotted patterns.  If you want an espresso machine with personality, the Ascaso Dream is right up your alley.

The Ascaso Elipse is another espresso machine that features a removable water tank and is offered in a “versatile” style that can be used with grounds or pods, but it is more utilitarian looking that the Dream.  The Elipse may be purchased in either gray or black.

Two other Ascaso espresso makers are the Basic and the Arc.  At first glance, both machines look identical; they are quite similar indeed, but they do have some slight differences as well.  Both machines have extremely simple operation; only three buttons appear on the front of the machine, which control the power, liquid flow, and steam, so even a beginner can create their own espresso with ease.  Both the Arc and the Basic feature cupwarmers on the tops of the machines’ bodies, but the Arc has a slight railing to ensure that cups will not be knocked off.  While the Basic is manufactured in either black or white plastic, the Arc features steel construction.  Also, there is a model of machines called Arc Fun, which lives up to its name; these machines are offered in light blue, pink, yellow, and red, instead of just basic black.
